New Product Beta: Visual Recovery for Exchange Server Gets Granular

OfficeRecovery announces an important addition to its family of data recovery products for Microsoft Exchange. With Visual Recovery for Exchange Server it is possible to browse the internals of offline EDB database, select individual mailboxes, folders and messages and export them.

A unique feature of the product is its capability to do the trick with a corrupted database that cannot be mounted and/or repaired with standard tools.

Besides emergencies, Visual Recovery for Exchange Server can be used as selective export utility for offline EDBs in the course of routine administration tasks.

Licensing Explained: Standard, Enterprise and 1-Year Service

Each OfficeRecovery product is subject to individual licensing features. Some products may have features that are available for certain license types only. To make sure nothing is missed, it is important to read the licensing information for the product in question.

For example, here is the Licensing page of the star of this news issue, Visual Recovery for Exchange Server:

The Standard and Enterprise licenses are tailored for using the product for administration of individual Exchange Server deployments. IT departments of businesses with relatively small email databases will find the entry-level Standard license enough for their needs. Larger database and/or more servers? Enterprise license is the answer.

Neither Standard nor Enterprise license allows using the product for rendering data recovery services to third parties. For companies in the data recovery and/or outsource Exchange Server administration business, there is the Service license.

1-Year Service license allows one workstation to be used for recovering an unlimited number of third-party databases for one year. The license expires in one year from the date of purchase and needs to be renewed for continued use.

Other OfficeRecovery products follow the same three-fold licensing approach, which can be summarized as "Standard and Enterprise for internal use, 1-Year Service for professional data recovery".
